Be sure you’re ready for this extra special event!!!
I can’t even wait for this extra special day. Giving people flowers, helping people to give others flowers and gathering people together are my three favorite things. So, I’m combining all three this year to give away thousands of dahlia tubers to help people grow and give flowers in kindness. I’m also fundraising to raise $10K for Growing Kindness by my birthday, April 21. 100% of the proceeds from the tickets from this event will be donated to Growing Kindness.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are you actually giving away ALL of your dahlia tubers?!
A: Except the stock we need to replant our farm this spring, YES. We would rather use these tubers as a tool to help spread kindness than make a profit from them. We will be giving away ALL 40 varieties of our dahlia tubers. Tubers are individually divided and premium grade. You can preview them all in our online store. Please note, they say “out of stock” but you can be assured all varieties pictured will be available.
Q: Can I use these tubers to sell flowers or tubers?
A:These tubers are given freely with the hope that they are used to grow and give flowers as acts of kindness. If you’re in a position where you would typically purchase tubers for your own use or business, we invite you to consider making a donation to support the Growing Kindness Movement in place of a purchase. This helps ensure we can continue to share flowers freely with others and expand this work in communities around the world.
Q: Why are tickets required?
A: We want this to be a special day for everyone involved: that’s why we’re limiting the number of guests. This allows us to ensure good parking and an awesome experience for everyone involved. All proceeds from the tickets will be donated directly to Growing Kindness.
Q: Do I have to make a donation?
A: Absolutely not. Our goal is to make this accessible so that as many people as possible can grow and give flowers in kindness. We know starting a garden can be cost-prohibitive for many. If you’re in a position to give—especially if you would normally purchase tubers—your donation is deeply appreciated and helps make this possible for others. All donations go directly to Growing Kindness Movement, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Deanna’s goal is to raise $10,000 by her birthday on April 21.
Q: How does the timed entry work?
A: Your ticket is for a specific arrival window. Please arrive during your selected time so we can keep the flow of guests smooth and ensure the best experience for everyone.
Q: What if it rains?
A: This is a rain or shine event. Activities and tuber selection will be under cover, but please bring a coat or umbrella for moving between spaces if needed.
Q: How much is shipping?
A: We are a small, family-operated farm and do our best with the shipping options available to us. All tuber orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail using flat rate shipping. Shipping is $17 per order.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: As much as we love animals, please no furry friends. This helps keep both our livestock and your pets safe.
Q: When will you ship my order?
A: We will begin shipping orders April 14.
Q:What if I buy a ticket, but can’t make it?
A: Because we’re a small farm and our family is working hard to pack your orders: we maximize our efficiency by printing labels in batches. You receive a tracking number as soon as we print your label, but you won’t see activity on your tracking number until it actually is in transit. While we wish we had the efficiency of the big box stores, we do our very best to get your orders out as fast as we can and truly appreciate your understanding and support!
Thank you for helping spread kindness through flowers!!
